Warm ‘n’ Fuzzy Feelings

Happy Friday friends! HalesBee here with just a bit of knitty news! Well, maybe more just a bit of knitty chat. I have been in the Clayton area near Raleigh for about two years now. I have met a few knitty people, but mostly engage in the virtual fiber community. Where I’m at, its at least a 30 minute drive one way to most knitting meet ups and local yarn shops, but Thursday night I finally decided to just brave the traffic and go make some new knitting friends!

I packed up my Flax Sweater by TinCanKnits and drove to Cary to Warm ‘n’ Fuzzy yarn shop, where they have a knit night every Thursday. I’m so glad I went! I met some lovely knitty people and had a lovely knitty time. Rebecca, the owner, was super sweet and welcoming! They had wine, which I would have loved to take part in drinking, but I did have to find my way back home. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful time and I’m definitely going back!

Of course, while I was in a yarn shop, I had to allow myself a bit of indulgence. Warm ‘n’ Fuzzy has a fantastic selection of yarn, and Rebecca does sell online. I reccommend visiting her site if you’re looking for some great yarns! I found the two colorways above by Olann, which I may pair with some yarn from Machette Shoppe and put into a fade of some kind. The orange colorway is called Inferno, and the blue with multi color speckles is called Troublemaker – no wonder they spoke to me!

Naughty little knitter that I am, I couldn’t help but pick out two more skeins! They’re self striping! I had to! These beauties are from Biscotte Yarns. The bright top colorway is Wonka, and the darker colorway is called Les ailes d’un papillon (which Rebecca clued me in is “the wings of a butterfly” in French). I cannot wait to cast these on!

I’m so thrilled to have met some new fiber friends and I am excited to go back next week! If you are in the Raleigh/Cary area, I highly reccommend checking out Warm ‘n’ Fuzzy – maybe I’ll see you there!

I hope you have enjoyed this little entry into the diary of HalesBee’s adventures! Have a wonderful knitty weekend everyone!

Love from HalesBee
